Popcorn enables our Pack to do the things we want without having to do lots of fundraisers. The idea is to have this one fund-raiser in the fall support the entire year of Scouting. This is an officially approved council unit money-earning project that many packs and troops participate in each year. We do our sale in the fall and reap the benefits for the rest of the year.
Here is how we do it:
1. The boys are introduced to how to sell Popcorn at the first Pack Meeting in September.
2. The scouts can take orders on a form from family, neighbors from September through October.
3. The Pack will organize to sell Popcorn in Hockessin Wawa and St. Mary’s Church. Scouts and Cub Scouts will work the table in shifts from 9:00 –3:00
4. Prize and awards are giving to all Scout who achieve established goals.
